welcome 2013...

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil,
to give you an expected end."
Jeremiah 29:11

I love this image. I had just gotten my first 'real' camera and my husband and I were on our way to the mountains to sing. We stopped off at a covered bridge to snap a few photos. I handed the camera to him, jokingly and telling him to get some shots of me bein' silly (normal). Turns out, this is my favorite picture of myself to date.  Some say it's cause I was looking at Cliff and they can see the love in my eyes. (Yea, I can see that :)
Another reason I love it so much is because when I look at it I can see how far Papa has brought me since the day I sat on that rock wall just havin' fun with Cliff. I never would have thought He would bring me this far in so little time. He has taken my passion for 'capturing life being lived' and used it to grow my photography to where it is headed today. I love to seek His beauty in everything and everyone I photograph. After all, everything is created by Him and we are all created in His image... therein lies the beauty, His beauty.

my driveway, do you see it?

when i saw this cedar i thought "'cindy lou who' decorated my cedar tree! :)

'Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow: thought they be red like crimson, they shall be white as wool.' Isaiah 1:18

Along with the new year also comes a time of reflection of what we have and haven't accomplished over the past year. As always, my life is a mix of accomplishments and regrets. I guess it's that way with most everyone. It never used to really bother me, this mix, but in the past few years I am starting to have a sense of urgency to 'finish well' this vapor, I call my life. I want to end up with less and less regrets as time goes on.

if you are a blogger, you must check out this amazing blog planner!
I'm taking my time with setting yearly goals, mindful of sticking with a positive focus in everything I want to accomplish, and as always holding those plans (of mine) in my 'open' hands. Papa can take them or bless them and either one will be what is best for me. Awesome!
I have some absolutely gorgeous weddings and a hodgepodge of lovely things to post on here soon. I also plan to be more consistently posting on MY VAPOR LIFE  this year too, kinda like a 365 challenge spread across my photography and my personal blogs :) (Can you say 'outside the box'? lol)

I'm so excited to see just where Papa plans to take Donna Carr Photography this year! Hope you'll follow along the journey with me here and on facebook. As my daughter grand, Bella, says...'OH BOY! GONNA BE FUN!!'

Have a blessed and wonder-full 2013 :)
